Mechanism of Action
 
Many phytoconstituents and alkaloids present in Betel nut, Betel, Karanj, Kachnar, Guduchi Neem, Curcuma and Glabra glycyrrhyza have an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral action. They leave the wound cleaner and sterile.
 
Phytonutrients present in Rose, Lavender, Chameli, Karanj Oil, Kachnar, black pepper, Nirgundi and Nagkesar promote cell growth, collagen synthesis, reepithelization, scar contraction and speed up wound healing. 
 
Being oily in nature, RapiHeal coats the skin and protects it from maceration due to wet wound soiling. 
 
The need of anti-stick or paraffin gauge is decreased because RapiHeal acts as a lubricating agent between the wound and the dressing. 
 
RapiHeal, hence, reduces the need of both anti-biotics and anti-adhesive dressings, and therefore, also the cost of therapy.

Indications for use 
 
All fresh wounds – contaminated or clean.
Chronic / slowly or non-healing wounds. 
Diabetic foot ulcer and other wounds.
Chronic bed sores. 
Postoperative stich line / wounds.
Wounds requiring skin grafts / after skin grafts. 
 
How to Use
 
Clean the (dirty or clean) wounds with saline or RapiHeal. Pour some RapiHeal on the wound or on the gauge-piece / dressing-pad and complete the dressing. 
 
Very dirty or highly contaminated wounds may require thorough debridement and washing with Normal Saline, H2O2 (or Povidone Iodine etc.), along with antibiotics. Once the wound condition improves, dress it with RapiHeal to speed up the healing process. 
 
RapiHeal can be used unaccompanied in mildly or moderately adhesive wounds. For highly adhesive wounds, use anti-adhesive dressings alongwith.
